II.How to choose flange
At present, there are four flange standards in China:
(1) National Flange Standard GB/T9112 ~ 9124-2000;
(2) Flange standards for chemical industry HG20592 ~ 20635-1997
(3) Flange standard for machinery industry JB/T74 ~ 86.2-1994; (See: Machinery Flange Standard)
(4) Flange Standard SH3406-1996 for Petrochemical Industry. The selection of flange is explained by taking the national standard as an example
The national standard flange is divided into two systems: European system and American system The nominal pressures of European system flanges are: PN 0. 25PN 0. 6PN 1. 0PN 1. 6PN 2. 5PN 4. 0PN 6. 3PN 10. 0 and PN 16. 0MPa; Nominal pressures for flanges in the American system are: PN2.0 PN5. 0PN11. 0PN15. 0PN26. 0 and PN42. 0MPA
2 basis for selecting flange
(1) the nature of conveying medium general medium, special medium, toxic medium, flammable and explosive medium;
(2) The nominal pressure PN of the flange is determined according to the parameters of the medium, the working pressure and the working temperature of the medium when the medium is determined. (2) The nominal pressure PN of the flange is determined according to the working temperature and the working pressure of the medium
(3) Determine the connection mode between flange and pipe and the form of sealing surface according to the connection conditions of using place
(4) Determine the flange specification according to the connection object
